The Coastal Training Program is a program of the Chesapeake Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (CBNERR)  which aims to protect and manage the diversity of habitats found within the Maryland portion of the Bay. Check out the reserve page on the Maryland Department of Natural Resources' website

CBNERR is part of a national system of reserves which are connected by NERRA and supported by NOAA.

NOAA’s Office of Coastal Management provides guidance, funding, Federal coordination, and technical assistance to all of the reserves. To learn more about the federal reserve system, check out the NOAA’s website.

NERRA is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing the work of Reserves by communicating Reserve funding needs and priorities to Congress, enhancing NERRS programs, and educating the public about estuaries. To learn more about how NERRA supports CBNERR check out their website
Maryland Resources

CBNERR is part of the Chesapeake Bay Sentinel Site Cooperative which is a collection of monitoring sites across the Chesapeake Bay that work together to measure the impacts of sea level rise. Using their data, these partners work with communities to support climate resilient communities especially with respect to coastal flooding. Maryland Sea Grant hosts the coordinator for the Chesapeake Bay Sentinel Site Cooperative. Learn more about their role on the Maryland Sea Grant website

The Maryland Resiliency Partnership includes membership from state and local partners who are working to support activities that improve water quality and reduce flood risk. Their website has many Maryland-focused resources to help with flood preparedness. Resources range from GIS tools, links to trainings, to information on grant opportunities.
