Dredging and Beneficial Use Workshop

Maryland DNR and the Nature Conservancy have teamed up to host a training on planning and implementing beneficial use projects.

Learning Objectives are as follows:

  • Increase participant understanding of dredging and beneficial use (BU) fundamentals.
  • Demonstrate real-world BU project implementation through field visits and case studies.
  • Highlight the ecological and economic co-benefits of BU.
  • Equip local planners with knowledge of permitting pathways, regulatory requirements, and funding opportunities.
  • Foster collaboration to promote regional-scale sediment management planning.
  • Provide practical tool and resources to support future BU projects.
